IOI's Katherine Skinner recently presented at the Year of Open Science Culminating Conference, organized by the Center for Open Science. This online event featured a combination of plenary sessions, panels, and individual talks that highlighted a diverse array of outcomes, coalition-building efforts, and ongoing work stemming from the 2023 Year of Open Science.

In her talk, Katherine shared ongoing collaborative work to respond to the United States Office of Science and Technology Policy's Nelson Memo, specifically surrounding the cost and price of open access data and publishing. This presentation covered both the findings of IOI's recent paper on The Costs and Price of Public Access to Research Data, as well as an update on the project's next phases to understand institutional workflows and guidance.
